About the Role

This role is accountable for ensuring Universal Electronics consistently stocks the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time.

You will drive inventory planning, product selection, merchandising standards, and replenishment discipline—ensuring high availability, strong sell-through, and minimal dead stock.

In simple terms:
You own “what we sell” and “whether it’s available when customers need it.”

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Product & Range Management

  • Define and continuously refine the product assortment aligned to customer demand and margin targets
  • Identify fast-moving, high-margin, and strategic products
  • Remove slow-moving or obsolete stock
  • Work with suppliers to introduce new and trending products

2. Inventory Planning & Control

  • Develop and manage inventory plans across all locations (Suva, West, North, Warehouse)
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to balance availability vs cash flow
  • Lead weekly inventory reviews 
  • Drive initiatives to reduce dead and excess stock

3. Replenishment & Reorder Management

  • Set and manage reorder points, min/max levels, and safety stock
  • Ensure timely replenishment from suppliers and warehouse
  • Monitor stock-outs and take immediate corrective action
  • Improve forecast accuracy based on sales trends and seasonality

4. Store Merchandising & Execution

  • Ensure stores are well-stocked, visually appealing, and easy to shop
  • Implement merchandising standards across all branches
  • Drive product visibility for priority categories (power, batteries, solar, etc.)
  • Align promotions with stock availability

5. Sales & Demand Alignment

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to align promotions with inventory
  • Support campaigns to clear excess stock and improve cash flow
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and bundle products

Skills & Experience (What We’re Looking For)

Key Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years in inventory, supply chain, or retail merchandising or a graduate with strong willingness to learn 
  • Strong analytical and planning capability
  • Experience with inventory systems / ERP (preferably retail or distribution)
  • Commercial mindset (understands margin, sales, and cash flow)
  • Strong execution and attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations
