The position will be based at the Energy Fiji Limited’s Navutu Depot and will report to the Manager Solar Development.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the identification, assessment and development of utility-scale, distributed and hybrid solar energy projects from concept through commissioning;
Support preliminary site assessments, including solar resource, land availability, access, topography, drainage, geotechnical constraints, grid proximity and environmental considerations;
Assist in preparing concept designs, layouts, technical specifications and design reviews for photovoltaic systems, balance-of-system equipment, energy storage interfaces and associated civil and electrical works;
Undertake engineering calculations and technical analyses under supervision, including preliminary energy-yield estimates, equipment sizing, cable and protection considerations, losses and performance assumptions;
