Skilled Construction Labourer

Position Overview

The Skilled Construction Labourer provides essential physical and technical support across all capital and operational project teams. You are expected to be highly versatile, physically fit, and familiar with a wide array of construction hand and power tools. This role requires a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to mining environment safety rules.

Schedule & Logistics

• Roster: Weekdays (5-on-2-off, Monday to Friday).
• Transport: Daily pickup and drop-off provided by Lion One Ltd from designated regional transit routes.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Preparation: Clear, clean, and prepare construction work zones, removing safety hazards and setting up barricades.
• Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and distribute heavy construction materials (timber, cement, steel mesh, pipes) to the trades teams.
• Tool & Equipment Operation: Competently operate general power tools.
• Trade Support: Assist Tradesmen with daily tasks and project objectives.
• Housekeeping: Keep the project site clean and compliant with environmental and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a laborer on heavy civil, industrial, or mining construction sites.
• Confident using various power tools and machinery safely.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor in hot, demanding tropical weather environments.
• Valid certificate in Working at Heights or Confined Space Entry is a strong advantage.
• High regard for personal safety and teamwork.
