Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

The Assistant Human Resources Manager serves as a key member of the Human Resources team, working closely with the Cluster Director of Human Resources to support the execution of people strategies across Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa. This role assists in driving talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, learning and development, performance management, and compliance initiatives while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and brand standards.

The successful candidate will partner with operational leaders to provide HR guidance, support team member development, foster a positive workplace culture, and contribute to achieving business objectives through effective people management practices.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Cluster Director of Human Resources in the delivery of strategic and operational HR initiatives.
  • Support employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive team member engagement, recognition, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and brand standards.
  • Prepare HR reports, analytics, and workforce data to support decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Partner with department leaders to provide HR guidance and support.
  • Assist in implementing organizational change and culture initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably within hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
  • Previous experience within an international hotel brand is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to people development.
