South Sea Cruises Group (SSCG) is Fiji’s most experienced and award-winning marine tourism and hospitality operator, delivering fast ferry services, day-trip islands, sailing experiences, overnight cruises, beach club experiences and resort accommodation across the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands.
SSCG is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Financial Controller to manage financial reporting and daily accounting functions across the wider business.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role has oversight of the accounting functions of SSCG and its subsidiaries including the general ledger, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition aspects within multiple SSCG reservation systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead critical month-end reporting & management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets & group reporting.
- Review monthly revenue & costs, reporting trends & anomalies to the CFO & CEO.
- Prepare & review monthly general ledger reconciliations.
- Develop finance employees to work independently & accurately.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in a similar role within tourism, logistics or hospitality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Strong financial analysis and data interpretation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; Opera Cloud experience an advantage.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills including strong attention to detail.
