GRADUATE MECHANICAL ENGINEER – (WESTERN)

The position will be based at Energy Fiji Limited’s Navutu Depot and will report to the General Manager Generation/ Manager Thermal Generation.

Key Objective:  

The incumbent will be required to work under a team that is tasked with the execution of special assignments and projects, and also to supervise work carried out by EFL or by Contractors. Within your employment period, you may be moved from one Division to another to work on projects and increase the breadth and depth of your engineering experience. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepare Technical Specifications and Tender documents for the procurement of mechanical services and equipment, including generating sets. 

• Project managed the installation and commissioning of all mechanical equipment, including overseeing the provision of contractors, project. 

• Provide technical assistance in the remedial work required for mechanical equipment – including engines & turbines 

• Update mechanical schematic drawings and appropriate documentation on completion of upgrading works. 

• Maintain the Occupational Health and Safety requirements of EFL and the Fiji legislation. 

• Perform any other related duties consistent with the responsibilities assigned to the position. 

Key Requirements: 

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised Tertiary Institution; 

• Experience in operation & maintenance of power generation plants would be an advantage; 

• Computer literate and have some related qualification or experience with Project Management; 

• A valid Group 2 “full” Driving License will be an added advantage.
