GRADUATE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – (WESTERN)

The position will be based at the Energy Fiji Limited’s Navutu Depot and will report to the General Manager Generation/ Manager.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist with the planning and coordination of maintenance of EFL Generators;  

• Assist Team Leaders with the restocking of spare parts for EFL Power Stations; 

• Assist in the processing of Tenders and the evaluation of Tenders; 

• Monitor fault reports from Power Stations; 

• Assist with the maintenance/overhaul and re-commissioning of Generators;  

• Assist with new installation and commissioning of Generators as and when assigned by the Manager; 

• Assist in manpower planning and budget preparation for the Department;  

• Update self with layout and types of Generators used in the EFL Grid; 

• Liaise and coordinate with other departments to ensure the successful completion of work assignments; 

• Maintain Health & Safety legislative requirements of both EFL and Government; 

• Promote safety by compiling and maintaining work procedures; 

• Update self with the latest industry developments and apply relevant learnings to improve Generator performance; 

• Undergo on-the-job training and attain authorisation in Categories A, B, C, F; 

• Perform other work assignments that may not be related to the above requirement as assigned by the manager. 

Key Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University, with membership or eligibility for membership of recognised Electrical Engineering Institutions; 

• A valid Group 2 “full” Driving License will be an added advantage.
