Your day to day

  • Help guests - you’ll be happy to help if someone needs assistance with a request or complaint   
  • Provide guests with information (example: loyalty programmes, area attractions, restaurants, facility information) to enhance their guest experience   
  • Communicate to appropriate departments all pertinent information requirements and special needs for arriving VIP’s, large groups, and other key guests 
  • Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense of one team   
  • Manage sales plans to ensure they accurately interpret and support the objectives of the business and use these plans to focus on the sales efforts for Group Sales.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process by developing and/or maintaining pipeline management tools and statistics.
  • Direct and manage the forecasting process in conjunction with IHG Revenue Services to ensure accurate, timely and complete information.
  • Compile and/or direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales Department to include, but not limited to the annual and monthly forecast
  • Assist in handling group inquiries, proposals, and contracting.
  • Work closely with the Sales, Events, and Revenue teams to optimize group bookings.
  • Develop and Maintain strong relationships with clients, DMCs, ITOs, and corporate partners.
  • Conduct site inspections and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Assist in achieving revenue targets by maximizing occupancy and F&B sales for groups.
  • Work with Revenue and Sales teams on pricing strategies and yield management.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and manage client expectations.
  • Follow up on post-event feedback and maintain long-term client engagement.
  • Support in securing repeat business through relationship-building.
  • Maintain and update group bookings in sales systems (Opera, Delphi, or similar).
  • Actively participate in the completion and preparation of the annual Sales & Marketing Plan, quarterly updates, and the property’s annual budget.
  • Increase revenue with market strategies, offerings and networking through attending local sales trips and networking events where required representing the property
  • Leading a young and dynamic MICE & Weddings Team with the direction of the Director of Sales and Commercial Lead.
What we need from you

To be successful in this role, you will need

  • Fluent in both spoken & written English required.
  • Communication skills – guests and colleagues will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field  
  • Four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team
  • Strong knowledge of local businesses
