South Sea Cruises Group (SSCG) is Fiji’s most experienced and award-winning marine tourism operator offering a range of award-winning products and services throughout the stunning Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands. SSCG operates a modern fleet of fast catamarans, an overnight cruise ship, a modern sailing catamaran, an array of smaller vessels. SSCG also operates Fiji’s two most popular day trip islands.
Role Overview:
The Diver will be responsible for necessary underwater works under the guidance of the General Manager Marine Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with regulations or instructions concerning the use, maintenance and repair, and testing of all diving equipment provided for safe operations. Ensure SSC dive gears are serviced and logged and free of any defects that will compromise operations and safety.
- Carry out hull scrubs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare and install moorings and markers for SSC.
- Perform underwater inspections of vessels, jetties etc and submit necessary reports.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures at all times.
- Assist the SSC COT's team in removing COT's as and when needed.
Role Requirements
- Advance Open Water Diving certification from PADI or SSI.
- First Aid and CPR training.
- Ability to operate and maintain diving equipment.
- Experience in a similar position is essential.
- Strong swimmer and physically fit in order to handle the physical demands of diving and to react quickly in case of emergencies.
- Boat Master License would be an advantage.
