Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Plantation Island Resort is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Clerk to support the efficient management of resort inventory and supplies.

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, processing stock movements, and assisting with regular stocktakes. The Inventory Clerk will work closely with various departments to ensure the timely receipt, storage, and distribution of goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting cost-control initiatives. Strong attention to detail, good numerical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Receive, verify, and process inventory deliveries, ensuring accuracy against manifests and purchase orders.

·        Maintain accurate inventory records and stock movements in SAGE.

·        Process requisitions, transfers, maintenance requests, and staff meal transactions in a timely manner.

·        Conduct regular stock reconciliations and assist with inventory audits to identify variances and discrepancies.

·        Coordinate with Warehouse, Purchasing, Finance, and operational departments to ensure efficient inventory control and stock availability.

·        Generate inventory and reconciliation reports and ensure all documentation is accurate and filed appropriately.

·        Monitor stock levels and assist in maintaining appropriate reorder quantities to meet operational requirements.

·        Ensure inventory is stored safely and in accordance with food safety and company standards.

·        Assist with warehouse operations and dispatch activities as required.

·        Identify and report stock losses, discrepancies, risks, or potential fraud to management.

·        Support investigations, stocktakes, and other inventory control activities as directed by management.

·        Perform any other duties reasonably requested by the manager.

·        Demonstrated attention to detail and good understanding of inventory movements and management

·        Accuracy in data entry and working knowledge of Sage

·        Demonstrated understanding of health, safety and security requirements as they relate to Warehouse Operations, including food safety and hygiene
