SENIOR FRONT OFFICE AGENT

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced hospitality professional who is looking to advance their career within a leadership-focused Front Office role. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Front Office Manager and develop into a future supervisory or management role within our growing resort operation.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, this position is ideally suited to an experienced Front Office professional who is ready to take on greater responsibility and contribute to the leadership of the department.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of Front Office activities while delivering exceptional guest service standards. The successful candidate will be capable of supporting the Front Office Manager in supervising staff, resolving guest issues, and maintaining operational excellence across the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest service at all times.
  • Manage guest arrivals, departures, and check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Assist with the supervision and coordination of Front Office operations.
  • Support and mentor junior Front Office team members.
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Manage guest accounts, billing, and payment transactions.
  • Prepare daily reports and administrative documentation.
  • Liaise closely with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Activities and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Promote resort facilities, services, and experiences.
  • Act as the senior Front Office representative in the absence of the Front Office Manager when required.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Front Office role within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of Front Office systems, procedures, and guest service standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational, administrative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Experience using hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
  • Reservations experience will be highly regarded.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Roster & Accommodation

  • This is a live-in position based at Waya Island Resort in the Yasawa Islands.
  • The roster operates on a 3 weeks on / 5 days off cycle.
  • Shared staff accommodation and all meals are provided whilst on site. 
  • Complimentary resort vessel transfers to and from the mainland are provided for rostered leave periods.
