𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 – 𝟐 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬
The primary responsibility of the Gender Officer is to assist FRA in ensuring that the Gender Action Plan for the Critical Bridge Resilience Project is implemented successfully. In addition, the Gender Officer will be required to assist FRA in closing out the final stages of the Gender Action Plan Implementation for the Transport Infrastructure Investment Sector Project (TIISP) and other broader Gender Capacity Development initiatives for FRA. The consultant is required to work closely with international gender specialists (ADB TA), ADB gender staff and consultant.
𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
A minimum of five years of experience in gender mainstreaming, social development, or social safeguards is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies or Social Development is highly desirable.. Additionally, at least two years of experience in the Pacific region would be considered advantageous.
Interested consultants must note that they are required to provide their own computer, fast internet connection and software required for any remote work, and connection to video conferences. This will include MS Office standard programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams and an email account.
Fiji Roads Authority is the organisation responsible for planning, developing and maintaining Fiji’s $11billion road infrastructure. The infrastructure primarily consists of approximately 7600km of road, 1200 bridges, 9000+ streetlights and 47 jetties
FRA operates as a body corporate governed under the leadership of a board.
FRA manages the roading assets primarily through out-sourced contracts with the private sector. The exception to this is certain maintenance work carried out by Municipal Councils and the management of roads on the Outer Islands which are administered by the Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development under a MoU with FRA.
