Accreditation Officer (SBM and SAFE)

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

The Opportunity

The appointee will be responsible for coordinating all work leading to accreditation and review of programmes in the School of Business & Management (SBM), and the School of Accounting, Finance & Economics (SAFE).

  • Coordinate work leading to accreditation and review of programmes;
  • Work with Schools to prepare accreditation and external programme review documents;
  • Liaise with Accrediting bodies, Industries and Stakeholders on matters relating to accreditation, programme revision, etc.;
  • Provide secretarial support to Programme Advisory Committees (PAC);
  • Coordinate Programme/Curriculum mapping and alignment activities for new programmes and programmes undergoing accreditation, external review, or revision;
  • Carry out research on accreditation or curriculum development as required by the Manager CRDU;
  • Analyse data as required by the Manager CRDU;
  • Prepare reports as required by the Manager CRDU.   

The Person we Seek

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Tourism and Hospitality, Management and Public Administration, Land Management & Development or in relevant discipline; and
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience and management expertise in technical or in comparable administrative fields.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • The ability to take initiative, solve problems and work without supervision to achieve goals and meet deadlines;
  • The ability to work well in a diverse team environment;
  • Personal and professional integrity;
  • Good planning/organising skills and the ability to act professionally;
  • Punctuality and dependability;
  • A keen analytical mind with attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Excellent report-writing skills.
  • A proven track record of successful project management would be desirable; and
  • A postgraduate qualification in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Tourism and Hospitality, Management and Public Administration, Land Management & Development or in relevant discipline would be preferred;

Salary Range

  • FJ $52,546.71 to $64,371.97 per annum.
