TEACHING ASSISTANT IN BIOLOGY FACULTY OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY ENVIRONMENT School of Biological and Chemical Sciences LSBO25 The Opportunity The appointee will teach undergraduate Biology courses in the School of Biology and Chemical Sciences at the USP offered by various modes of delivery and participate in lab demonstrations/ tutorials/field trips. Duties include, but are not limited to: running laboratory and tutorial classes, marking lab activities, assignments and project reports, assisting in field trips and other administrative tasks. Also. contributing towards faculty/campus outreach activities. The Person We Seek To be considered for this position, applicants must have; For Teaching Assistant in Band 1 level: A good postgraduate diploma in Science (Biology) with a GPA of at least 4.0 and a good first Degree (BSc). For appointment at the Teaching Assistant Band 2 level, applicants must also have a Masters of Science (Biology) With some tertiary teaching experience and progress towards attaining Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching (PGCTTJ or equivalent: and Applicants must be citizens of one of the USP member countries. Remuneration The position is available for a term of 3 years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
