Laundry Attendant- High Season

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Attendant – High Season to join our housekeeping team during the busy season. The role is responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, and organizing guest linens, towels, uniforms, and resort laundry while maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is an advantage, with flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately count and sort soiled linen and prepare for laundry process
• Wash, dry and press guest room and other miscellaneous linen items, according to company procedures
• Operate laundry equipment and machinery per standard operating procedures
• Neatly fold clean linen and bag (for resorts) or store on laundry shelving, per normal item count and shelf location
• Count and bag linen as needed for repairs or disposal, completing required documentation
• Assist with linen stock-take, accurately completing count and documentation
• Issue towels and linen to Room Attendants according to par level requirements, ensuring all items issued are correctly logged
• Accurately measure and use chemicals per prescribed measurements, ensuring safe handling of the chemicals
• Store chemicals correctly per prescribed method
• Ensure effective controls and log book/tracking system of linen (fresh & soiled) movements (issue and receipt)
• Examine laundered items to ensure that they have been cleaned and properly serviced, prior to re-issue
• Carefully and promptly complete guest laundry requests, ensuring items are accurately recorded and cross-checked prior to return to the guest
• Immediately notify supervisor of any stains or other issues identified on guest laundry, prior to commencing the laundry process.  Also notify the supervisor if issues identified following completion of the guest laundry process, s this will need to be corrected or escalated to hotel management
• Any other reasonable task as requested by your supervisor or manager

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to lift heavy loads of linen, load and un-load washing machines and dryers
• Accuracy in counting
• Attention to detail when checking clean laundry and sorting discarded linen
• Good team player
