The Role 

Pepper Advantage Hub (Fiji) is seeking a driven and self-motivated Telesales Business Development Manager to join our team.

The role is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong relationship-building skills to drive new Buy-to-Let mortgage business by building and growing partnerships with regulated mortgage brokers across your allocated region.

Reporting to the Sales Team Leader, you will form a key part of a close-knit team of three, with the autonomy to manage your own workload, take ownership of results, and deliver agreed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Competent in asking open and closed questions in order to seek commitment to do business.
  • Strong technical knowledge in relation to lending policy and ability to handle complex new business enquiries
  • Must have a desire to learn about the mortgage intermediary market
  • Good decision making and problems solving skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of mortgage regulation including FCA, Conduct Risk and Money Laundering Legislation in relation to their role and responsibilities

Skills and experience required:

  • Candidate needs to be flexible in terms of working hours (Ideally from 8 pm to 4.30 am FJT).
  • To proactively make telephone calls to brokers to introduce the company proposition and products and seek new business opportunities and application submissions
  • Engaging the broker in a conversational fact find, using appropriate questioning techniques, to understand the brokers business situation and requirements. 
  • Active listening to ensure the brokers business situation is fully understood and seek initial case enquiries.
  • Complete a template form on E Keeper for each broker firm contacted to highlight opportunity and scope for future business
  • Follow up on initial enquiries and DIPS received from brokers, whether from own outbound calling or team/BDMs.
  • Act as an SME for broker registration/system queries and seek resolution of issues.
  • Act as a point of contact for brokers who are experiencing difficulty/seeking escalation of new business case specific issues
