Plumber

Plantation Island Resort is seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across the resort, including water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and fittings, to ensure all guest and staff facilities operate efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable environment while delivering high-quality workmanship across the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret plans and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
• Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
• Install supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation.
• Assemble fittings and valves for installation.
• Modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as required.
• Use saws and pipe cutters as necessary.
• Installs heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
• Complete repairs of blocked toilets and sewerage systems.
• Service and maintain grinding stations, grease traps and septic tanks as directed including removal of liquid and solid waste and replacement of pumps where necessary.
• Perform inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts.
• Any other reasonable task as requested by your manager.

About You:

• Minimum 2 years practical trade experience
• Demonstrated understanding of OHS and workplace safety specifically related to plumbing work
• Minimum Certificate III Level Trade Certificate in Plumbing or equivalent work experience
• Good communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Effective time management and ability to work unsupervised
