Our properties are successful and well known in Fiji and the Pacific, the cluster we are referring here consists of two properties across two different brands. The iconic Grand Pacific Hotel which is on an historic journey as we transit into IHG's Luxury & Lifestyle collection and the vibrant local favourite, Holiday Inn Suva.
We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Safety and Security to lead all safety, security, and risk management operations across our two-hotel property. This senior leadership role is responsible for protecting guests, employees, visitors, and company assets while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and professionally managed environment at all times.
The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership, deep hospitality security experience, and the ability to respond decisively in high-pressure situations. You’ll oversee security operations, emergency preparedness, regulatory compliance, and crisis response while working closely with hotel leadership to maintain exceptional guest confidence and service standards.
A little taste of your day to day

Lead and manage all hotel safety and security operations

Develop and implement hotel-wide security strategies, policies, and emergency procedures

Oversee incident response, investigations, crisis management, and business continuity planning

Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and security regulations

Conduct routine risk assessments, property inspections, and security audits

Manage hotel access control systems, surveillance systems, and security technologies

Lead, train, and mentor security personnel to maintain high operational standards

Partner with department leaders to promote a strong culture of workplace and guest safety

Maintain close working relationships with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and regulatory agencies

Prepare detailed reports on incidents, risks, and security performance metrics

Support VIP visits, special events, and high-profile guest security requirements when needed
What we need from you

Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in security management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field and or appropriate relevant certifications

At least five (5) years experience in hotel security, ideally international brand hotel chain, hospitality operations, or corporate safety management

Strong understanding of hospitality security practices, emergency response, and regulatory compliance

Experience managing security teams within hotels, resorts, or large guest-service environments

Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions during emergencies

Experience with CCTV systems, access control platforms, and incident management systems
