System Analyst (Ministry of Itaukei Affairs)

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

The position is responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation of software systems across the Ministry. The role ensures software systems, web platforms, and databases are functional, secure, user-friendly, and aligned with Ministry’s needs.

Key Responsibilities

The position will achieve its purpose through the following key duties:

• Collaborate with end-users, and IT team members to gather and document software requirements.

• Design software solutions to address Ministry’s business improvement needs, ensuring scalability and usability.

• Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications and system documentation.

• Perform system testing and quality assurance to ensure software functionality and performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues and provide support and training to end users on Ministry software applications.

• Collaborate with the Senior Systems Analyst to integrate and test new systems and functionalities.

• Comply with and support Ministry administrative policies and activities including workplace health and safety, service improvement programs/activities, and participation in selection panels where required.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  1. 1. At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in a similar role
  2. 2. Practical, working knowledge of the ASP.NET MVC Framework, SQL Server Management Studio and ORACLE or equivalent;
  3. 3. Good practical knowledge in application development using various programming languages: C#, VB.net, Angular. PHP and Python.
  4. 4. Good practical knowledge of website development and maintenance using various Content Management System (CMS)
  5. 5. Understanding of teams and how to work in a high performing team with or without supervision.

 

Skills & Abilities

  1. 1. Demonstrated skills to work within the given period for building an application.
  2. 2. Demonstrated innovative skills to prepare and deliver relevant training modules for the built applications.
  3. 3. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and neutrality in a sensitive environment.
  4. 4. Possess a pro-active and professional attitude, neutrality, able to prioritize, multitask, complete work accurately in a timely manner and capacity to work diplomatically with others to meet tight deadlines.
  5. 5. Service oriented approach, with a commitment to supporting the operational/ corporate environment of the organization

 

Additional Information
