Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Farm Manager to lead daily operations across our vegetable production, nursery, and general farm work. The Farm Manager will live on-site Monday through Friday, manage a 14-person team, and be responsible for the planning, execution, and reporting of all farm activities. This is a leadership role reporting directly to the Director of Operations and working closely with our owners and office team.

The Farm Manager plays a central role in helping us expand. We are looking for someone who can run what we have today with high standards, and who can help us plan and scale new plantings, infrastructure, and operations over the coming years.

Key Responsibilities

•    Lead daily operations across vegetable production, the nursery, and general farm work.

•    Manage a 14-person team — including timekeeping, performance, discipline, safety, and morale.

•    Plan and oversee planting, harvesting, and nursery schedules for pineapple, cucumber, tomato, eggplant, and future crop expansion.

•    Oversee maintenance of farm equipment, including the D6 bulldozer, telehandler, rotovator, and other machinery.

•    Coordinate with contractors for road works, field cleaning, tractor hire, and mechanical servicing.

•    Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports to management on operations, progress, and KPIs.

•    Enforce safety, PPE, site security, and compliance standards.

•    Support expansion planning, including scoping new plantings, workforce needs, and infrastructure.

Requirements

•    Experience in agriculture, farm management, or a related hands-on field.

•    Confidence leading a team and holding people to high standards.

•    Practical knowledge of heavy equipment, or the ability to learn quickly.

•    Basic carpentry and construction knowledge.

•    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.

•    Strong spoken and written English.

•    Valid driver’s license.

•    Clean criminal record.

•    Willing to live on-site during the work week, with occasional weekend work.

What We Offer

•    Competitive salary plus performance bonus and weekly meal allowance.

•    On-site accommodation Monday through Friday.

•    A meaningful leadership role in a growing operation on Vanua Levu.

•    Direct working relationships with company owners and operations leadership.

•    Opportunity to shape the future of the farm as we expand.
