Position: Receptionist/Office Assistant

Location: JICA Fiji Office, Level 8, Suva Central Building, Suva, Fiji

 The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Fiji Office is seeking qualified and dedicated applicants for the role of Receptionist.

 Key Responsibilities

Reception Service

  • Receiving and making outside calls and receiving visitors.

Administrative service

  • Preparing and updating the database for JICA members’ ID and name cards.
  • Document and inventory management.
  • Other various supporting work and miscellaneous duties.

Logistical Support for JICA members

  • Making Appointments (when requested).
  • Arrangement of Hotel and Transport.
  • Support for accounting and procurement.

Other duties

  • Support other assistant staff in their absence.
  • Carry out other relevant duties as required by the Resident Representative.

Requirements and Skills

Education:  Minimum Diploma.

Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in administration or office management; experience with international agencies is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in English (written and oral); Japanese proficiency is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member. 

 

Salary & Benefits

Salary and other benefits will be commensurate with the JICA Fiji Office regulations. 

Terms of Contract:

Duration: One-year renewable contract based on performance.

Probation: A six-month probationary period.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with a flexible start from 8:00 am to 9:30 am and an hour lunch break.
