Travel within Fiji likely to be required The Program The Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) was established in 2017 to support and implement Australia’s aid programs such as health, education, Australia Awards and governance in Fiji. The Facility also supports the Australia Awards and education programs in Tuvalu. The Facility integrates cross-cutting themes, including gender equality, disability inclusion, climate change, emergency preparedness and response and civil society engagement, across sectoral programs. In particular, the Facility seeks to strengthen program outcomes by better addressing the needs of targeted beneficiaries including those who are often marginalised. The company managing the Facility on behalf of the Australian Government, Coffey, is recruiting the position of CSE Project Manager. The Position The Facility provides grant funding and capacity building support to civil society organisations (CSOs) who provide services aligned with partner Ministry activities under its health, education and emergency preparedness and response programs. The CSE Project Manager will manage the portfolio of grants and provide quality assurance, including monitoring progress against workplans, conducting monitoring visits, reviewing progress and financial reports, approving budgets and tranche payments and assessing ongoing DFAT compliance. In doing so, they will build the capacity of Facility staff and CSO partners in the design, implementation and management of projects. Position Description - CSE Project Manager.pdf The Person The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience preferably from working with or for donors and/or CSOs, with excellent budgeting, financial management and contract management skills. S/he must have experience engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders and building the capacity of others. As well as willingness to manage continuous improvement, be innovative and try new approaches. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the selected candidate.
