The role: Finance Officer (Suva)
We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer who will be required to perform day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures in accordance with the established accounting standards to meet legal requirements and ensuring that the Financial Operational responsibilities are implemented on a timely and professional basis.
Key responsibilities
Accounting processes
Handling petty cash on a daily basis
Process transactions and manage payables and receivables functions
Prepare monthly payables & receivables reconciliations
Maintain accurate data entry records & GL integrity
Support budgeting process
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies
Other ad-hoc as directed
Policy and Procedure
Comply with Financial procedure at all times
Essential Knowledge & Skills
- Qualification in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintaining general ledgers
- Knowledge of accounting principle software applications
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and consistent integrity
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and sharp time management skills
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
- The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with your superiors/team and other staff members within the company
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other financial software programs
