The role: Finance Officer (Suva)

We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer who will be required to perform day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures in accordance with the established accounting standards to meet legal requirements and ensuring that the Financial Operational responsibilities are implemented on a timely and professional basis.

Key responsibilities

Accounting processes

Handling petty cash on a daily basis

Process transactions and manage payables and receivables functions

Prepare monthly payables & receivables reconciliations

Maintain accurate data entry records & GL integrity

Support budgeting process

Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies

Other ad-hoc as directed

Policy and Procedure

Comply with Financial procedure at all times

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • Qualification in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintaining general ledgers
  • Knowledge of accounting principle software applications
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and consistent integrity
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and sharp time management skills
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with your superiors/team and other staff members within the company
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other financial software programs
