About the Role
Island Enterprises Ltd, a well-established and respected company in the Solomon Islands, is seeking a highly capable and motivated Senior Contracts & Project Administrator to join our Engineering Division.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in contracts, project coordination, and commercial support, who takes ownership, works proactively, and contributes to delivering high-quality project outcomes.
This is a key role supporting the successful delivery and financial performance of our engineering and project operations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and variations
- Track project costs, budgets, and profitability
- Support tender preparation, pricing, and scope documentation
- Maintain job files, job numbers, and project tracking systems
- Assist with invoicing, progress claims, and reporting
- Coordinate between engineering teams, suppliers, and management
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date
- Monitor project timelines and flag risks or delays early
- Identify and improve systems and processes within the division
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in contracts administration or project support
- Strong understanding of project costing and commercial processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
- Experience with project/job management systems (e.g., Simpro) is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Proactive problem-solving mindset
