F & B Attendant

Fiji Gateway Hotel is seeking a friendly and attentive Food & Beverage Attendant to join our team. This role is responsible for providing efficient and courteous service to guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring dining areas are clean and well-presented. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome all guests and visitors to the dining outlet by displaying your genuine “Bula Spirit”, ensuring guests are greeted immediately with eye contact and a friendly smile
• Assist with reservation or menu inquiries, listening carefully to guests’ requests or information that they share about special occasions or needs
• Promptly seat guests in their preferred area if possible, ensuring napkins are presented as applicable
• Carefully and accurately record guest orders and process these orders through POS in a timely manner, ensuring special dietary or other requirements are entered
• Ensure water and drinks orders are promptly taken and served
• Serve food orders promptly when called by the kitchen, checking the food order is correct before delivering to the table
• Monitor guests’ satisfaction during the meal, ensuring issues or complaints raised are quickly resolved
• Promptly clear used plates and utensils

About You:

• Natural talent for customer service and demonstrated Bula Spirit
• Willing to work flexible shift hours
• Understanding of food dietary requirements and allergies
• Knowledge of Responsible Service of Alcohol and food safety standards
• Attention to detail
• Previous food & beverage experience is preferred, but is not essential
