Plumber

Lomani Island Resort & Spa is seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems across the resort to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff. Prior experience and a strong attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Interpret plans and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.

·        Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.

·        Install supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation.

·        Assemble fittings and valves for installation.

·        Modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as required.

·        Use saws and pipe cutters as necessary.

·        Installs heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters.

·        Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.

·        Complete repairs of blocked toilets and sewerage systems.

·        Service and maintain grinding stations, grease traps and septic tanks as directed including removal of liquid and solid waste and replacement of pumps where necessary.

·        Perform inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts.

·        Any other reasonable task as requested by your manager.

About You:

·        Minimum 2 years practical trade experience

·        Demonstrated understanding of OHS and workplace safety specifically related to plumbing work

·        Minimum Certificate III Level Trade Certificate in Plumbing or equivalent work experience

·        Good communication skills

·        Good problem-solving skills

·        Effective time management and ability to work unsupervised
