Driver/Porter- High Season

Plantation Island Resort is where unforgettable family memories meet genuine island hospitality. We're now looking for a hands-on, innovative, and passionate Driver/Porter- High Season.

Key Responsibilities:

·             Promptly greet all guests at the lobby and front office area, using eye contact and a warm manner

•             Listen carefully and attentively to guest queries, asking questions if more information is needed

•             Assist with loading/disembarking from transfer boats and hotel buggy as required

•             Take care of guest luggage upon arrival and departure ensuring that luggage is handled carefully, correctly labelled as needed and stored securely

•             Liaise with front office staff regarding guest arrivals and departures, providing luggage delivery or collection services as needed

•             Ensure luggage is secured correctly for transportation to the guest room

•             Clearly provide hotel information to the guests on arrival and when escorting to their room

•             Clearly explain room facilities and features to guests on arrival at the room

•             Deliver guest mail and messages promptly

•             Assist with guest amenity and room drop deliveries as required

•             Promptly report damage to guest property to Duty Manager

•             Correctly use and maintain hotel transport vehicles, ensuring vehicles are operated safely at all times

•             Clean and maintain a tidy appearance of hotel vehicles

•             Promptly report damage to any hotel vehicle or equipment to the Duty Manager or Front Office Manager

•             Monitor movement of vehicles through guest arrival areas and resort roads, ensuring guest safety at all times

·                  Monitor the appearance of the guest lobby and front office areas including completing basic cleaning tasks, alerting housekeeping to any areas requiring further attention

About You:

·        Valid Fiji driver’s license - car

·        Good local knowledge of tourist activities and facilities and ability to make recommendations

·        Ability to lift and move heavy luggage

·        Confident communication skills with demonstrated “Bula Spirit” in guest interactions
