The Opportunity
The Education Technologist (ET) is a member of a programme design and development team engaged in the development of quality learning materials for students studying through flexible learning (FL). The ET plays a vital role in the development and production phases of print, online, and multimedia course materials. Additionally, ETs oversee Minor Adjustment courses, ensuring that all materials are consistent and meet publishable standards. Furthermore, the ETs provide comprehensive professional development training and workshops for academic staff, emphasizing the integration and effective use of online learning technologies.

An Education Technologist (ET) is required to sustain the development, delivery, and quality of print, online, and multimedia course materials. ETs are pivotal in minor adjustments phase, integrating interactive content, providing Moodle support, and delivering staff and student training. Without these positions, course workflows are delayed, revisions are bottlenecked, and staff and students face reduced technical and pedagogical support, compromising learning quality and outcomes. Filling these roles is critical to maintain operational efficiency, enable timely program updates, optimise resource allocation, and ensure that flexible learning programmes continue to meet rigorous academic and educational standards.
