To conduct investigations into narcotics-related crimes, gather evidence, and prepare cases for successful prosecution.
The position will achieve its purpose through the following key duties:
1. Lead and conduct thorough investigations into assigned cases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of findings.
2. Collect, document, and safeguard physical and digital evidence in strict compliance with chain‑of‑custody protocols.
3. Carry out structured interviews with witnesses and suspects, recording reliable information to support case development.
4. Compile comprehensive case files and documentation to support prosecution and judicial processes.
All applicants for employment in the Ministry of Policing must be of good character, with a background that demonstrates their commitment to the civil service values contained in the Fijian Constitution. Applicants must also be a Fijian Citizen, under the age 60 years, in sound health, with a clear police record. The selected applicants will be required to provide a medical and police clearance, prior to taking up duty as a condition of employment.
