Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required
Natadola Bay Golf Course is seeking for a Golf Cowboy to join our Golf Security Team. As a Cowboy, you will ensure the golf course and landscaping area is free of livestock and is in perfect conditions at all times. Your primary responsibility is in controlling livestock from entering the Golf Course, safely relocating and ensuring minimal animal disruption to golfers at all times.

A little taste of your day-to-day
- Monitor and control livestock from entering the Golf Course (Cattle, Horse, Pigs, Dogs)
- Ride the horse and remove any livestock that have entered the course by using appropriate equipment.
- Ensures that all the gardens are free of livestock.
- Keep records and log of incident, actions taken and maintenance needs.
- Work closely with the Security Team to support daily operations and ensure policies and procedures are properly followed.
- Assist in monitoring the safety and security of guests, employees and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate and coordinate with Management and other department
- Carries out any other duties as instructed by Supervisor or Management
What we need from you
The successful applicants will need to be hands on, entrepreneurial, highly motivated, have a strong work ethic, have a strong eye for detail and work well in a team environment.
- It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so physical, mental and emotional stamina is important to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Strength – Physically and medically fit and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to occasionally squat or bend to control the livestock from entering the Golf Course.
- Literacy skills - reading, writing skills.
- Flexible attitude to shifts – you may need to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
