To manage and maintain CNB’s IT hardware infrastructure, ensuring operational reliability, security, and alignment with CNB’s information management systems.
Key Responsibilities
The position will achieve its purpose through the following key duties:
• Hardware installation and maintenance
• Network and communications reliability
• Security and access control
• Support and troubleshooting
Knowledge & Experience
- 1. In-depth understanding of the design, operation, and troubleshooting of hardware and communication infrastructure to ensure high availability and quick resolution of issues.
- 2. Proven track record of managing system incidents, minimizing downtime, and implementing effective corrective actions.
- 3. Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management, scheduling preventive maintenance, and coordinating timely replacements to optimize system performance and reduce failures.
- 4. Proficiency in using monitoring tools and analytics to track system performance, generate reports, and identify areas for improvement to meet the set KPIs.
Skills & Abilities
- 1. Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and communication system issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
- 2. Proficiency in using monitoring tools and data analysis to track system performance and identify potential problems proactively.
- 3. Strong organizational skills to plan, schedule, and execute maintenance and asset replacements efficiently and on time.
- 4. Ability to coordinate with teams, communicate clearly during incidents, and implement corrective actions rapidly
Additional Information
All applicants for employment in the Ministry of Policing must be of good character, with a background that demonstrates their commitment to the civil service values contained in the Fijian Constitution. Applicants must also be a Fijian Citizen, under the age 60 years, in sound health, with a clear police record. The selected applicants will be required to provide a medical and police clearance, prior to taking up duty as a condition of employment.
