The Opportunity

The University of the South Pacific (USP) is the premier tertiary institution in the Pacific region. The Estates and Infrastructure Services is responsible for the management and strategic oversight of the University’s property, buildings and infrastructure at all campuses and centers throughout its 12 member countries. The sections responsibilities include Strategic Asset Management, Maintenance Services, Design and Project Management Services, as well as Occupational Health, Safety, Sustainability and DISMAC Services.

 The Hub Coordinator Design Services is responsible for coordinating and delivering design, technical, and procurement documentation for all capital development and maintenance projects across USP campuses. The role ensures compliance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with USP sustainability and asset management priorities. The position will be based at the Laucala Campus in Fiji.

The Person we Seek

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree and postgraduate qualifications in Architecture or Engineering, or related field with Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in design services and supervisory experience; or
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering, or related field with 7 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory role or
  • A diploma in the relevant Architectural or Engineering, or related field with Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in design services, including 5 years supervisory experience;
  • Strong coordination and team supervision skills
  • Computer Aided Design Skills using Auto CAD and other equivalent design software, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Project Management Software such as Microsoft Projects;
  • Good knowledge of Building Construction standards and regulatory requirements;
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety regulations;
  • Coordination, prioritization and problem-solving skills.

The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.

Salary Range

  • FJ$61,627 to FJ$75,265 per annum
