Your day to day
- Perform live music during scheduled guest arrival and departure periods.
- Deliver a memorable first and last impression for all guests.
- Perform traditional Fijian songs and suitable contemporary selections aligned with brand standards.
- Coordinate closely with the Front Office team to support arrival and departure flow.
- Support VIP, group, and special occasion arrivals when required.
- Maintain appropriate music volume and presentation in guest-facing areas.
- Ensure instruments and performance equipment are well maintained.
- Adhere to InterContinental brand standards, grooming guidelines, and resort policies.
- Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and reliability at all times.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, and cultural protocols.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven musical ability (vocal and/or instrumental).
- Strong knowledge of traditional Fijian music and cultural performances.
- Confident and comfortable performing in public guest areas.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Previous hospitality, entertainment, or guest service experience preferred.
- Flexibility - Availability to work shifts across a 7 day roster including weekends and public holidays.
- Can do attitude – wanting to support your team members and roll up your sleeves.
