The Role: Senior Developer
The Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that support business operations and client requirements. This role involves leading development initiatives, mentoring junior developers, contributing to architectural decisions, and ensuring adherence to industry best practices, security standards, and coding guidelines. The Senior Developer works closely with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, Security, Operations, and external vendors.
Key Responsibility:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and robust applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed across the development team.
- Maintain and optimize existing applications for performance and usability.
System Architecture & Design
- Contribute to system design and architecture planning sessions.
- Recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and design patterns.
- Participate in solution design for complex integration projects (API, middleware, databases, cloud platforms).
Technical Leadership & Mentoring
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior and mid-level developers.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical discussions.
- Support the Head of IT in defining development standards, CI/CD practices, and documentation requirements.
Integration & API Development
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and systems integrations.
- Work with telephony/CRM systems such as RingCentral, Salesforce, Zendesk, Genesys, and internal applications.
- Ensure reliable data exchange between internal and third-party systems.
- Incorporate secure coding practices aligned with ISO27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and industry frameworks.
- Collaborate with InfoSec to identify vulnerabilities, conduct secure code reviews, and support remediation activities.
- Ensure applications adhere to privacy, data protection, and audit requirements.
DevOps, Automation & CI/CD
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Automate builds, testing, and deployments to streamline development workflows.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, solution diagrams, API documentation, and release notes.
- Ensure knowledge repositories are up to date and accessible to relevant teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with infrastructure, business analysts, quality assurance, project managers, and operations teams.
- Support requirements gathering, feasibility analysis, timelines, and scoping.
- Participate in client-facing discussions when required.
Requried Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages:
- JavaScript/Typescript, Node.js, Python, C#/.NET, Java, or PHP.
- Experience with front-end frameworks: React, Angular, Vue.js.
- Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Hands-on exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of secure coding standards (OWASP Top 10).
- Knowledge of telephony/CRM integrations is an advantage.
- 5–8 years in software development, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Experience working in fast-paced enterprise or multi-client environments.
- Proven experience delivering full-stack or backend solutions at scale.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Experience with Calabrio WFM, RingCentral APIs, Talkdesk, or Genesys integrations.
- Experience with automation frameworks or AI/ML integration.
- Understanding of ITIL processes (Incidents, Change, Problem Management).
- Experience working in ISO-certified environments (ISO27001, ISO14001).
- Experience with reporting/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications:
- AWS/Azure Developer Associate
- Certified Scrum Developer (CSD)
- Microsoft Developer Certifications
- Security certifications (e.g., Security+, CSSLP) are an advantage.

The role offers between $75,000 and $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications
