Your day-to-day

As a Banquet & Events Manager you will lead the F&B Banquets team in delivering exceptional guest service to all our clients hosting functions, ensuring IHG standards are met or exceeded. Oversee daily operations, training, and team supervision to achieve departmental goals in service, quality, and profitability.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  •  Organise and execute events and functions in line with BEO’s, such as plan layouts, menus, event timelines, and coordinate with kitchen, sales & operations team for timely execution.
  • Work closely with Sales & Marketing team to handle client requests
  • Manage inventory, ensure equipment's and linen quality, and venue cleanliness are maintained at all times.
  • Proactively address client needs, resolve complaints in line with IHG Problem Handling guidelines to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect and have the tools they need to work efficiently.
  • Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense of one team.
  • Respond appropriately to guest complaints and concerns, solicit feedback and build relationships that drive continuous improvements in guest satisfaction.

 What we need from you

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and friendly individual who is willing to learn and build an extraordinary career within a global company. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Administration, Business Administration
  • Three years of guest service/hotel experience with at least two years in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A team player with a positive attitude and strong drive for results whilst working closing with the Hotel Services team members
  • Highly developed interpersonal and excellent communication skills
  • Commitment with flexibility to work a rotational roster and ability to work within operational situation changes
  • Flexibility - nights, weekends and holiday shifts are all part of the role
