The officer reports to the Permanent Secretary via the Deputy Secretary iTaukei Affairs policy with the provision of advice on the adoption of the recommendations of the iTaukei Review Report. The officer fosters this through thorough research and assessment, with improved coordination and partnership with relevant stakeholders. The office also monitors and evaluates the implementation and coordination of the iTaukei Review Report, programme and policies aligned to national objectives.
The position will achieve its purpose through the following:
a. Oversee the provision of advice on Culture, Financial, Human Resources, Legal and Communication strategies through the formulation of well researched papers;
b. Coordinate and assist with the management of the iTaukei Review Implementation Unit;
c. Ensure that consultations are conducted on the Great Council of Chiefs Review report.
d. Oversee the inclusion of the Great Council of Chiefs into an Annual Corporate Plan and the Great Council of Chiefs Strategic Development Plan;
e. Oversee the implementation of Monitoring & Evaluation tools;
f. Conduct quarterly performance review/assessment for 4 subordinate officers;
g. Ensure submission of timely Unit monthly reports.
