About the Role

We are seeking a calm, professional, and reliable Make Safe Coordinator to work remotely from Fiji as the first point of contact for customers requiring urgent make-safe assistance following property damage (storms, water ingress, impact damage, safety hazards).

This is a phone-based customer service role supporting a fast-paced emergency make-safe operations team based overseas. Accuracy, empathy, and professionalism are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound customer calls professionally and confidently

  • Calm and reassure distressed customers during emergency situations

  • Collect accurate job details (address, damage type, urgency, photos)

  • Enter and update job information accurately in internal systems

  • Follow up customers for missing information where required

  • Escalate urgent or high-risk matters according to procedures

  • Maintain clear, accurate call notes and records

Skills & Experience Required

  • Excellent spoken and written English

  • Strong phone manner and customer service skills

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Confident using computers, email, and online systems

Preferred:

  • Call centre or customer service experience

  • Construction, insurance, or trade industry exposure

  • Experience working remotely or with overseas clients

Remote Work Requirements (Essential)

  • Quiet, professional home workspace

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection

  • Laptop or desktop computer suitable for daily work

  • Headset suitable for professional phone calls

  • Ability to work set rostered hours reliably

Time Tracking (Important)

  • This role is paid per hour

  • Work hours are tracked using Time Doctor

  • Applicants must be comfortable working with time-tracking software

  • Payment is made only for logged and approved working hours
