Resort Maintenance Technician (mechanical/electrical)

We are seeking a versatile and proactive Resort Maintenance Technician to join our island team. In this role, you will help maintain the physical condition, safety, and operational efficiency of our facility, systems, and equipment. You will assist with a broad spectrum of routine service requests, preventive maintenance tasks, and emergency repairs across utility operations and systems, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.  

Core Duties

• Guest Bure Maintenance: Perform rapid-response repairs in guest rooms, including bathroom plumbing, lighting, and equipment repairs.
• Island Utility Operations: Monitor and assist in operating and repairing island infrastructure, such as desalination water plants and water storage, diesel generators, kitchen equipment and appliances, and wastewater treatment systems.
• Preventative & Corrective Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections on machinery, equipment, and building assets. Perform minor electrical fixes and basic plumbing repairs. Diagnose malfunctions and safely execute standard mechanical fixes.

The ideal candidate has clear communication skills, motivation, a willingness to work flexible hours, the ability to work productively independently and with others, and a commitment to keeping our environment safe.

If you are handy, eager to learn, and dependable, we will train you on our specific resort systems and procedures. Trade certification in Mechanical or Electrical, with proven experience, is required.

This position offers a competitive starting salary, island-based, with shared accommodation and meals provided. Days off arrangements are flexible, with free boat transfers on scheduled runs.
