Role Description:
Macquarie Travelworld is one of the largest IATA approved travel agency in Fiji with over 60 years’ experience in the travel industry. With sales offices located in Suva, Nadi and Labasa, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and travel solutions. We are currently seeking a Finance Officer to join our Finance team based in Lami.
About the Role:
The primary objective of this role is to provide high level financial support to the Finance Department, ensuring efficiency and reliability in all finance-related matters. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager.
- Ensuring timely processing and payment of creditors.
- Reconciling local and overseas creditor accounts.
- Entry and processing of account invoices, including weekly and month-end supplier payments.
- Posting journal entries and raising LPOs.
- Handling supplier queries and resolving reconciliation issues.
- Assisting with month-end general ledger reconciliations.
- Supporting internal and external auditors with relevant documentation.
Qualification & Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance from a recognized institution.
- 1-2 years’ experience as Finance Officer or similar role is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive attitude.
- Willingness to go the extra mile and support the team when needed.
- A team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
