TEAM LEADER REVENUE SERVICES (WESTERN)

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

The position will be based at the Energy Fiji Limited’s Navutu Depot and will report to the Manager Sales & Revenue Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the meter reading schedule on a monthly basis and ensure all customers are normal read, accounted for and billed accordingly;
  • Liaise with Fleet Officer on the design and implement logistic maintenance schedule for meter reading vehicle and equipment ensure operation are not hindered;
  • Ensure requirements of the most current Fleet Manual Policy are understood and adhered to by the Meter Attendants;
  • Supervise and lead meter reading input and validation schedule and liaise with Billing section on the timely rectification of errors and variance report;
  • Liaise with Team Leaders in Contact Centre and Customer Care on the follow-up calls to all customers that are on the disconnection listing for early payment to avoid power disconnection;
  • Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are complied with and risks are identified and mitigated to avoid accidents in particular on vehicles and dog bites; 
  • Strategize the Team’s efforts to manage daily, weekly the customers’ debt levels to ensure the monthly debt balance is reduced to achieve the Corporate KPI;
  • Submit monthly reports on the Team’s activities;
  • Develop direct reports to be multi-skilled for capacity building;
  • All projects identified to managed and completed;
  • Drive the new strategies put in place;
  • Prepare Monthly reports and submit to Manager Sales & Revenue Services;
  • Ensure all processes to be followed;
  • Live the EFL values and uphold the EFL image standards at all times;
  • Carry out any other work and responsibilities as required by the Manager Sales & Revenue Services.

Revenue Protection

  • Ensure monthly target on customers’ debt from 30 to 45 days are paid on time to avoid debt moving onto the 60days and plus category;
  • Ensure KPI’s are met and all accounts are billed accurately and on time;
  • Liaise with Billing Section on the rectification of unbilled accounts and ensure all unbilled are accounted for and analyzed;
  • Carry out Revenue protection support role for the Technical Services area to ensure pilferage and tampered Meters are reported and addressed adequately and in a timely manner;
  • All notes on the Meter sheets are acted on;
  • Generate and report on Meter reading activities and ensure that improvements are catered for at all times to avoid repeated estimation over a three consecutive months and customers giving reading for more than 3 consecutive months.


SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Analytical skills: ability to analyses data, interpret and visualize trends and make sound conclusions that will be basis of a recover calculation. Be able to trend data and identify aspects of revenue loss.  

Quick learner, investigate, attention to detail: ability to understand new concepts in terms of metering system operation, electrical operation and concepts to electricity metering. Be investigative enough to pick up critical information and be able to utilize this information to further strengthen recovery case. Have a keen eye for attention to detail.

Communicate and Influence Effectively: A demonstrated ability to; structure messages clearly and succinctly orally and in writing. Focus on gaining a clear understanding of others comments by listening and questioning for clarity. Check that own views have been understood, listen to differing ideas to develop an understanding of the issues.

OTHER KEY COMPETENCIES

PROFESSIONALISM Knowledge of Fiji Electricity Act and Regulations, EFL practices and procedures and ability to apply them. Ability to identify electricity consumption pattern, analyse and formulate opinions, make conclusions for recovery approach. . Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Studies/Accounting/Management or Marketing from a recognized Institution; or
  • Advanced Diploma in Business Studies/Accounting/Management with at least four (4) to six (6) years of work experience in a similar role.
  • The incumbent must have a valid (not provisional) driver’s license.
