The Opportunity

The Digital Integration Specialist – Estates & Infrastructure leads the digital transformation of USP’s facilities, security, and infrastructure-related systems within the Shared Services enterprise model. Embedded within the Estates & Infrastructure Section and integrated with the University’s Enterprise Digital Services Team (ITS), the role ensures all section-specific systems—including Facilities Management Systems (FMS), Security and Access Control Systems, Booking and Timetabling platforms, Building Automation, equipment monitoring and diagnostics, and all digital tools supporting maintenance and service delivery—are automated, integrated, secure, and aligned across USP functions and campuses.

The role operates within a cross-functional product and delivery environment, collaborating with Business Analysts, digital systems specialists, and professional units across the University. It leads or contributes to enterprise initiatives that strengthen end-to-end processes, eliminate manual workarounds, and enable consolidated reporting and decision-making at institutional level. It ensures all development, enhancement, and integration work on E & I systems reflects shared, cross-functional priorities across all USP functions and campuses. 

The scope includes oversight of all E & I systems, data governance practices, training, change management, and ongoing system innovation. By driving interoperability and enterprise-wide outcomes, the position promotes shared ownership and supports a cohesive, standards-driven digital environment across USP’s 12 member countries.

The role is responsible for the design, optimization, integration, and ongoing evolution of all digital systems supporting the Estates & Infrastructure (E&I) portfolio. Operating within a matrix accountability structure, the Digital Integration Specialist - E&I reports functionally to the Head of Digital Business Solutions while embedded in the Estates & Infrastructure section to ensure solutions are practical, user-centred and aligned with business needs.

  • 1.Integrated Systems Delivery
    • E & I systems are fully interoperable with enterprise digital infrastructure, systems and applications in Learning/Teaching, Finance, HR, SAS, Planning and other platforms.
    • Consistently high system uptime (99%) ensuring uninterrupted E & I and USP operations.
  • 2.Data Quality & Reporting Excellence
    • E & I data meets enterprise standards for accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
    • Consolidated, enterprise-wide reporting is available for decision-making.
    • Improved analytics capabilities supporting strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • 3.Risk & Compliance Assurance
    • E & I systems meet all compliance, audit, and security standards.
    • Risks proactively identified, documented and mitigated.
    • Clear evidence of controls and monitoring to safeguard USP information.
  • 4.Innovation & Continuous Improvement
    • Regular delivery of system upgrades and enhancements aligned with enterprise priorities.
    • Demonstrated efficiency gains through automation and process redesign.
    • Adoption of innovative solutions that improve scalability and user experience.
  • 5.Capability & Adoption Outcomes
    • Staff, contractors and vendors are trained and confident in using systems effectively.
    • High adoption rates of new tools and processes across all sections and campuses.
    • Positive user feedback on system usability and support.

The Person we Seek

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A degree and a postgraduate qualification from a relevant discipline; and 
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience and proven management expertise in large multi-user environments.
  • Experience with facilities management systems, security systems, diagnostics tools, or similar platforms.
  • Expertise in integration, databases, programming, and business process redesign
  • Digital transformation and project management experience.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in digital transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of data governance, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks.

Desirable

  • Preference will be given to applicants with work experience in a higher education setting, with demonstrable achievements in E&I enhancements

The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.

Salary Range

  • FJD 81,690.16 to FDJ 100,073.95 per annum.
