Senior Landowners Empowerment Officer (Labasa)

The Senior Landowners Empowerment Officer will monitor and drive the Business Plan deliverables to ensure the team achieves the department key outcomes and performance measures.  This includes delivering effective and efficient service with accurate information and quick turnaround time to landowners and tenants.  The incumbent will manage and undertake cases where applicable in accordance with the established delegations from management and executive management aligning to the standard process and procedures and also upholding the risk management framework.

Job description:    Key Outcomes:

 

  • Establishment and achievement of the Landowners Affairs Unit’s objectives, policies, client management strategies and case management programs within the context of the overall departmental goals, and setting targets
  • Landowners Empowerment Unit’s budgets, reports and forecasts prepared and presentation in an accurate and timely manner to the Manager LED is ensured
  • Proactively support leaders through the provision of providing sound advice, coaching and mentoring of Landowners standard processes and procedures aligning to the legislation and policies
  • Responsibility taken and Landowners projects contributed as allocated from time-to-time ensuring delivery on time standard using good practice project management principals, templates, and best practices.
  • Relevant cases attended and individual case advice provided as required in accordance with established delegations and perceived risk
  • Delegated authority in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Accredited certified financial provided and business training ensured
  • Facilitating business training packages and have strong network with Commercial banks, investment institutions and development agencies.
  • High level of IT knowledge to improve the digitization of LAU processes internal and external.
  • Issues raised identified and communicated and offer recommended solution relevant to business to mitigate risk offered.
  • Landowners service delivery is fully briefed on any high-risk matters that fall within any of the Landowners functional areas ensured.
  • Successful completion of assigned landowners’ engagements from start to finish within the specified timeline ensured.
  • Work in partnership with leaders and Landowners team to ensure excellence and transparency services delivery within the department
Minimum

 

Qualifications /

Experience

  • Degree or Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma: Finance, Land Management or related with 5 years relevant experience in a similar senior management role.

Compensation:
  • Grade 8 of the TLTB salary scale on a 3 years contract
