About Us:

Southern Cross Foods is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies and specializes in manufacturing production of extruded snacks and confectionery for Fiji and International markets and is also a co-manufacturer of Maggi Noodles for Nestle. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Supply Chain Manager to be based in Ba.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to logistics and sourcing and procurement of necessary raw materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
• Develop appropriate supply chain strategies to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
• Manage supply & demand planning by ensuring customer order and schedule requirements are fulfilled.
• Carry out monthly capacity and performance analysis to ensure forecasts and planning schedules are correct.
• Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met including timely export loadings and dispatch.
• Oversee product handling and distribution and management of storage space for effective movement of raw materials and finished goods.
• Manage intercompany transfers by working closely with production.
• Manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain.
• Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers, work with freight forwarders and transportation companies to set best route and rates.
• Ensure effective departmental human capital management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification with at least 5 years work experience in supply chain management role.
• Exceptional working knowledge in Logistics/Supply Chain Management within manufacturing industry.
• Strong planning, negotiation, and analytical skills with understanding of risk management in the context of the supply chain.
• Good time management, with the ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and keep to deadlines.
• Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• IT literacy, skills in Excel and the ability to handle electronic data.
