Cafeteria Cook

The Cafeteria Cook plays a vital role in delivering high-quality meals at the Fiji Airways cafeteria. Working under the guidance of the Demi Chef, this position supports the preparation of a diverse range of dishes, ensuring freshness, flavour, and consistency in every meal served.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of all meals served in the FJ cafeteria.
  • Ensures compliance with food safety regulations and safe food handling and storage procedures are followed
  • Ensures a desired level of service is provided at all times
  • Responsible for ensuring customer feedback is received with an understanding to review and improve service

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Must have a tertiary qualification in Cookery or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Must be able to prepare of range of dishes including savouries, snacks, western style food and fast-food dishes
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to adhere to Fiji Airways grooming standards
