LOCATION: Western & Northern Division
KEY DUTIES:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation, company policies and industry best practices
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents and near misses and prepare detailed reports and recommendations
- Develop, implement and maintain health and safety programs, procedures and safe work practices
- Coordinate and facilitate safety training, inductions, toolbox talks and awareness programs
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance across all work sites
- Maintain accurate OHS records, reports and statutory documentation
- Liaise with management, employees, contractors and regulatory authorities on health and safety matters
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including evacuation drills and response procedures
- Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging employee participation and continuous improvement in workplace safety
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Human Resources, Engineering or related discipline
- Relevant OHS certification or professional qualification will be an advantage
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in an Occupational Health & Safety role
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments and safety audits
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels
