Position : Welder
Location : Suva
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, fabricate, and maintain waste bins to ensure durability and safety.
- Perform welding tasks on fleet vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and identify welding repair needs.
- Assist in maintenance tasks related to fleet and infrastructure.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and repair manuals.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to prioritize repairs.
- Ensure all welding work complies with industry standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a fleet, logistics, or maintenance environment.
- Certification in welding is preferred.
- Knowledge of different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc welding).
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environmental conditions.
