Plant Technician - Viti Foods Pte Limited

Role Description:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Plant Technician to join Viti Foods Pte Limited based at Laucala Beach Estate, Suva. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic manufacturing team responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous operation of production and utility equipment.

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on factory equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
• Support production teams by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring efficient plant operations.
• Conduct routine inspections of processing, canning, packaging, and utility equipment.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, workplace health and safety, and environmental standards.
• Monitor and maintain plant utilities, including boilers, compressors, generators, refrigeration systems, and water treatment equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certificate, Diploma, or Trade Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing, food processing, canning, or industrial environment.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices.
• Experience troubleshooting production equipment and utility systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety, and workplace health and safety requirements is desirable.
