About Us:

Viti Foods Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies and we specialize in manufacturing canned tuna and mackerel products for local and export markets. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Process Workers to be based in Laucala Beach Estate, Suva.

Role Description:

• Work on fast-moving fish processing line carrying out variety of activities such as thawing, cleaning. cutting, skinning, loining and flaking fish.
• Grade, pack and weigh fish meat into cans whilst maintaining hygiene and quality control checks.
• Maintain processing machinery and other equipment such as knives.
• Assist with labelling, sorting and packaging activities to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Perform cleaning in the processing area and packing line including sanitization.
• Record production information such as quantity, weight, date and type of products packaged.
• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP).

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Secondary level education with good personal hygiene
• Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting up to 20kg.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
• Flexible in approach to working hours including shift work.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety and food safety requirements at the processing plant

Remuneration:

Competitive market-based remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
