Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

We are an Australian Company looking for a detail-oriented Payment Reconciliation Officer to join our finance team on a full-time basis to work remotely.

In this role, you will be responsible for entering, comparing high volumes of bank data against internal sales or accounts receivable records, and following up on outstanding balances to help maintain healthy cash flow

Assisting the accounting team by ensuring all "clearing accounts" are zeroed out and accurate for financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Daily Transaction Matching: Comparing high volumes of bank data against internal sales or accounts receivable records.
 
  • Daily Pay Follow Up: Send emails and follow up payment
 
  • Discrepancy Investigation:  Identifying why a payment doesn't match (e.g., bank fees, timing differences, currency fluctuations, or duplicate entries).
   
  • Month-End Reporting:  Assisting the accounting team by ensuring all "clearing accounts" are zeroed out and accurate for financial reporting.
   
  • Stakeholder Liaison:  Working with banks, payment gateways (like Stripe or PayPal), and internal departments to resolve missing information.
