About Us:

Southern Cross Foods is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies and specializes in manufacturing production of extruded snacks and confectionery for Fiji and International markets and is also a co-manufacturer of Maggi Noodles for Nestle.We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Quality Assurance Officer to be based in Ba.

Role Description:

• Oversee quality assurance testings and ensure all products are compliant with standards and specifications set and all deviations escalated for corrective action and maintain product release and the quarantine system documentation.
• Contribute towards HACCP activities and documentation.
• Assist and participate actively in External Food Safety Audits and GAP closure.
• Conduct training as per the Factory Training Plan (GMP, Food Safety, Quality Briefings pertaining to incidents, new process, changes, and new document implementation.
• Maintain controlled documents for all procedures, SOPs, standards and update as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree in Biology/Chemistry/Food Science or related field
• At least two years’ work experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing plant
• Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP and Food Safety Management
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player
